As a Certified Music Practitioner, I am trained to provide appropriate bedside music for each individual patient, tailoring selections based on the current and changing patient condition. I play regularly at Bon Secours DePaul as a staff harpist, and have been welcomed on a 1:1 basis in other health facilities. Bedside music can calm or enliven, but most often is described as “soothing”.
Sunday Morning/Evening Worship
I can provide music during any part of a typical order of worship—prelude, offertory, anthem, special music, or postlude. I can also do special presentations to include interwoven harp music and scripture for your particular theme.
A banquet, dinner party, art show opening, tea party or an open house are examples of events where harp provides excellent background music. Even if amplified, harp music remains in the background, allowing normal conversation levels for folks attending the event.
